KEYSTONE HEIGHTS-An unusual place to find a guy who grew up in the shadows of the World Trade Center, went to Notre Dame during the era
of Joe Montana> and held numerous management positions on Wall Street.  How did he end up here? "It is a good question," said Joe McGuire,
Chief Financial Officer, corporate secretary, treasurer, legal liaison, and investor relations director for American Access Technologies, Inc. (AATK) "I guess because I believe I'm in the right place at the right time with a Company that has a patented product on the cutting edge in the telecommunications world with explosive growth potential." The communications industry is realizing that wiring/cabling a building makes a lot more sense in zones rather than the miles of long runs with bulky wire running from one corner of the room (the telecom closet) all the way to the last guy at the other end of the room needing to be wired to the system according to McGuire. And that's where American Access Technologies comes into the picture.  "We make the telecommunication enclosures for use directly above or below the end users in the ceiling or in the floor," said McGuire. "We developed and patented the telecommunication enclosures to suit this zone concept which trims the cost of cable installation and accommodates reduced time to repair equipment, as all ports are accessible and easy to troubleshoot." There are many advantages to zoning versus the old way of long cable runs. Enhanced network performance which optimizes data and voice transmission due to the shorter cable runs, reduced move/adds/changes expense and downtime, ease of installation and pending Telecommunication Industry Association standard approval are making the decision to zone a compelling one. Suffice it to say that zoning an office is being considered more often by a number of companies as American Access enclosures reached an all time high in sales during the fourth quarter of 2002. In addition to our zone products, in 2001, we manufactured a wireless enclosure that is also becoming a hot item in the industry. American Access Technologies factory is 68,000 square feet of huge bending, punching and drilling machines capable of bending sheet metal into high quality boxes meeting client specifications for use as everything from simple wiring terminals to indicator boxes used by the military to detect toxic chemical agents. McGuire came on-board about three years ago, after many years on Wall Street and employment in the big corporate giants like Price-Waterhouse Coopers, Paine-Webber, Dean-Witter, a few hedge funds and even a five year stint with the prestigious commodity, futures and foreign exchange trader John W. Henry & Company.

He is growing comfortable in his new office at the plant and enjoys meeting people and relaying the success story of AATK's part in making zoning and wireless work for efficiency in any business. "I am just back from the annual BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International) conference in Orlando where the Company was privileged to speak," said McGuire. BICSI provides education, skills sharing and general telecommunications infrastructure design courses to the industry. "We heard several telecommunications companies, extol the virtues of zone cabling," said McGuire. "In fact one large t elecom company recently released a study on zone, telling the industry that zoning can save money in cabling and should be considered the preferred method of new installation." McGuire has been told that AATK may be the only publicly traded company (NASDAQ:AATK small cap market) headquartered in Clay County. As of February 4, the total market value of the stock is more than $3.1 Million, which, according to McGuire, is still well below its book value. Trading has been in the .50-.60 cent range for several months and less than $1.00 for over a year. McGuire was pleased to read that last week the NASDAQ announced plans to extend a program governing bid price rules for all NASDAQ companies. The company was scheduled to be delisted from the NASDAQ in February if it did not trade above $1.00 per share. The NASDAQ proposal will allow companies that meet heightened financial requirements additional time to address bid price deficiencies that may be attributable to the continuing economic downturn and the related decline in the broad market averages. McGuire says he is happy to get the NASDAQ decision finalized so as to achieve stability without creating a pause in investor thinking. "We have about 3500 investors now," said McGuire. They have taken a wait and see attitude with us, while the economy has faltered. Investors will be watching for signals that our patented products will make the long awaited meteoric rise on the telecommunications ride. The Company has a solid balance sheet highlighted by keeping a debt free status. We continue our march to profitability with sales moving in the right direction.  We feel we are undervalued as a stock since our book value is well above our stock price. We have confidence that what we have waited and planned for is about to begin." Meanwhile, the affable Chief Financial Officer still answers his own telephone and talks with investors who call. "A fellow called early last week to talk about his investment with AATK, said McGuire. "He spent the first few minutes of the call expressing his surprise that he was actually talking to the CFO of the company about his investment. That's MY job. If you have questions about American Access Technologies, Inc. products or if you would like a free investor package, you can visit the website at www.aatk.com or you can call or email McGuire - just ask for the CFO or the company secretary, or the treasurer or even investor relations - He will be glad to talk with you.
